ADMISSIONS PUBLIC SECTOR 2024-25 UHS PUNJAB MDCAT-MBBS/BDS

In compliance with the Admission Policy issued by the Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department, Government of Punjab, on October 10, 2024, the University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, hereby invites online applications from eligible candidates for admission to the MBBS and BDS programs in the following government medical and dental colleges in Punjab for the 2024-25 academic session:

1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
   i. The candidate must have passed the MDCAT-2024 examination, achieving a minimum score of 55% (110/200) for MBBS admissions and 50% (100/200) for BDS admissions. For foreign candidates and Overseas Pakistanis who completed the HSSC (12th grade) or equivalent qualification abroad and are applying on reserved seats, MDCAT scores, or alternatively SAT-II scores with a minimum of 550 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics, or MCAT (USA) or UCAT (UK) scores with at least 50% in these subjects, may be submitted.
   Candidates may also use their MDCAT-2023 results for admission to the 2024-25 session. If a candidate has taken both MDCAT-2023 and MDCAT-2024, he/she can use the better scores.
   ii. Applicants must possess a Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) in the PreMedical Group or an equivalent 12th-grade qualification recognized in Pakistan (IBCC
   equivalence certificate required), with a minimum of 60% marks. The candidate must
   have passed the subjects of Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Mathematics.
   iii. A domicile certificate from any district of Punjab is mandatory.
   iv. Applicants seeking admission under quota seats must meet the additional eligibility
   requirements specified in the Prospectus.

3. HOW TO APPLY:
   i. Review the Prospectus and the Admission Policy issued by the Government of Punjab
   for the 2024-25 session available on the UHS website (www.uhs.edu.pk) thoroughly.
   ii. Access the UHS Online Admission Portal (Separate for MBBS and BDS programs):
   For MBBS: http://public-mbbs.uhs.edu.pk
   For BDS: http://public-bds.uhs.edu.pk
   iii. Register by providing your Name, Father/Guardian’s Name, Email ID,CNIC/Passport/CRC Number, and a Password.
   iv. Upon logging in, select the seat category/categories for which you are eligible.
   v. Complete the application form with personal details, including name, domicile, contact information, address, nationality, gender, date of birth, etc.
   vi. Enter educational qualifications, such as SSC and HSSC marks, year of passing, subjects, etc.
   vii. Provide details of MDCAT or other relevant admission test scores.
   viii. Choose all colleges in order of preference from the dropdown menu; ALL options must be selected according to the seat category.
   ix. Upload scanned copies of required documents, ensuring each file is clear, legible, and does not exceed one MB in size.
   x. Review and acknowledge the Undertaking before submission.
   xi. Generate a fee challan of Rs. 2000/- for the non-refundable application processing fee and deposit it at the Bank of Punjab (BOP) via branch banking or 1Bill. Upload the paid challan receipt.

   xii. Download, print, and review the application before final submission. Submit the online
   application once all information is confirmed to be accurate. A confirmation will be
   sent via email.
   xiii. Modifications to the application may be made before the deadline; no changes are
   permitted after submission deadline.

ADMISSION SCHEDULE

. IMPORTANT:
i. Applications must be submitted exclusively through the designated online portals
(MBBS and BDS portals) as per the given schedule. Candidates bear full responsibility
for submitting a complete online application with all necessary documents. Incomplete
or improperly submitted applications shall be rejected. Hard copies are not acceptable.
ii. Any candidate found to have submitted forged, fabricated, or false
documents/information shall have their application and admission cancelled
immediately and disciplinary action may be taken against such candidates as per the
provisions of the Prospectus.
4 iii. All Merit and Selection Lists will be published on the UHS website (www.uhs.edu.pk). iv. Selected candidates must download their fee challans from the application portal and pay the fees at the Bank of Punjab (BOP) via branch banking or 1Bill. Failure to pay within the specified time will result in forfeiture of the admission and opportunity for upgradation.
v. Admission is confirmed only upon fulfillment of two conditions: (a) payment of the prescribed college fee and dues by the due date, and (b) joining at the respective college in-writing by the due date. Failure to comply with either condition will nullify the admission offer. Selected candidates will have three (03) working days to fulfill these requirements after the selection list is announced.
vi. Any vacant seats created due to non-joining of candidates shall be filled in the subsequent selection lists through upgradation process, based on merit and preferences. The upgradation process is mandatory, and no exceptions will be entertained. Upgraded candidates must report to their new college within the stipulated time. UHS will transfer their fees to the new college accordingly.
vii. Candidates who choose to apply to Narowal Medical College, Narowal, shall be required to submit an undertaking on the online portal, acknowledging that their admission will be contingent upon the approval of the college by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC). In the event that the PM&DC does not grant approval to the college, the candidates shall not possess any vested right to admission.
